Hey y'all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a Ballroom Dance Studio in Debrecen that had classes in English? I'd like to learn some dances but don't know enough Hungarian to be able to do a full normal class

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Sidney

I'm sure if you look online and ask google, something will pop up.
Hungarians love dancing so there has to be dance studios all over.
My now deceased cousin had a ballroom studio in the US, she even did competition dancing with the fancy dresses ect.
My parents were both fantastic ballroom dancers as well.
My father had been a semi-pro figure skater and my mom was an ex- jitter bug kid who also volunteered on stage dancing for the USO in WW11.
My sisters were taught how to dance by them at home.|Instead of sitting about watching tv on a Sat. night my parents would often pull up the rug, literally and put on an LP and everyone would dance in our living room.
When my parents were dating they would clear the dance floor because people would rather watch them dance then dance themselves.
My 71 year old husband an ex-Mod ex-surfer can ballroom dance a storm as well. He is Hungarian and his older sister forced him to dance with her when she practiced before going out on a date.
He used to be the guy who all the "old ladies" stood in line waiting to dance with at weddings and parties because most men his age had 2 left feet. Even my mother enjoyed dancing with him.
I sadly have 2 left feet, never was old enough to learn from my father before he was gone.
One of my other female cousins was able to go to a ball in Vienna with her father before he passed on. They travel from the US just for this huge event.
Have fun it seems to be a dying art to dance.
We used to attend some senior dances here in Budapest with our elderly neighbor.
It was amazing to see people who looked half over the edge turn young again once they hit the dance floor.
I would just sit and watch everyone, let all the ladies have a whirt with my husband too.

A google search has brought up 2 Studios

Now if they offer lessons in English is another matter, you will have to contact them regarding that.

Good luck :)

No real big need to understand, they usually have books with print outs of where to place your feet plus it is something that has to be felt more then listened to.
My HU ex DIL "forced" my son to take Salsa dancing in Vegas, think they only went out dancing one time.
