Hi,

My girlfriend got her visa and comes to study in Bradford.

She will arrive on 05/09 at London and her "flat contract" is starting on 10/05.

Does she has to book a hotel from the 05/10 to 10/10 or can she explain to the custom officer she will stay to my home until the 10 and then go to bradford without get any trouble ?

She is very afraid to being send back to her country (Turkey) if she doesnt have a hotel booked but it's also annoying to book a hotel + bus and dont go.. We dont want waist money.

Thanks :)

Christine

Hi jerem_d,

Did your friend try to contact the London embassy in Turkey to find out if she needs to book a hotel or not?

Try to contact the embassy to confirm if a letter from you confirm that you will accommodate her for some days will be enough or not.

Good luck,
Christine

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

She did try to contact the ambassy but nobody answered her.

She has contacted a agency that help Turkish citizen to upload for student visa and they told her a letter should be enough as far as they have my name/number/address.

I'm looking for a sample letter online but I can't find anything.

Are we call that a "consent accommodation letter" ?

It is always a good idea to have a letter confirming your address and that the person will be staying with you, include the dates and your full name and nationality.
