Dependent Children on UK Family Visa

I'm having trouble understanding the Family of a Settled Person Visa in the UK.

I recently got engaged and my fiance is English (I'm American). We're getting married in July 2020 and I'll be joining him in the UK after.
I have a 4 year old child from a previous marriage. When the time comes to apply for a Visa, do we each need a Visa application OR is she considered my dependent and her fee is waived or reduced? I'm reading conflicting information and haven't found a clear answer on the UK Gov website.

Any help or previous experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi again.

She is still your dependent, however, her father will have to agree to her leaving the country.  You have to apply for a partner visa, then add her to your application; this link takes you to the relevant part of the UK Gov website where you can read more about applying.  From the UK Gov website (link), how much it costs depends on how you apply, it would appear to be £1,523 each for you and your daughter.

Hope this helps.
