Post new topic

Hi guys Just how long does it take to become successful?

One year? Three years? Ten years?

And what is a success anyway? What does success mean to you?

Appreciate all comments and advice.

Success is viewed differently by many people.
What do you deem as being successful?

Some see success as a roof over their head and enough to eat.

Some see enough to cover basic needs and have money and time for leisure or charity or both.

Some will not stop until they have enough to stop working permanently and live off investments.

Some will not stop.  Ever.

There is no correct answer.  Everyone has their own threshold.  One only knows when they reach their own.

According to psychocybernetics, the law of attraction, script analysis, the theory of pronoia, etc., if you view your self as successful, then you will be successful now and into the future. Your attitude and self-perception determine your fate.

So, generate some pronoia (the belief that everyone is conspiring to help you, the opposite of paranoia) and some winner scripts such as "I will live forever, or die trying", "I am free; you are free; we can have separate trips or we can have the same trip", "I am learning more about everything, including how to learn more", "How I feel depends on my neurological know-how", and "I make my own coincidences, synchronities, luck, and destiny". Basically, develop a "can-do" attitude.

For me, success is doing what I am passionate about without sacrificing something I will need in future. Like I can not sacrifice the happiness of my family to be successful. How long does it take? It depends on the actions taken and our ability to leave our ego behind us :)
