Hello All, planning on relocating from France to Livorno, Tuscany with my husband within next couple of months. We are an Irish, early retired, living the dream, couple  :D . I, especially need to learn Italian, as we plan on making this our home for the foreseeable future! Hubby has some Italian, but not enough for an integrated life here. So, we are both looking for classes/school/tutor. Wondering whether there are any facilities geared towards expats, language and integration?

Hey ThisLife, Livorno is one of the cities I am also interested to move to with my wife sometime next spring. I would love to hear your experience after you settle in. Anyhow, I am not able to provide you with info on schools/tutors in Livorno as I am fluent in Italian ( my wife is not) ;however, I can mention a couple of findings while visiting the city for few days last year. There is a meetup for expats however I am not sure if still operational and I was told of a pub ( near the central market)  where expats get together. Not much info but I hope it helps.

NatiLombardo

Hi there,
same here, not much info to give you on italian language tutors (we are trying to learn using online apps) although my husband and I are living south of Livorno in a smaller coastal town called Castiglioncello, so if you need some tips, or want to meet once you are around let me know!

Thank you NatiLombardo I will! Hope to be there early January 2020! I will checkout on maps your town 😉
