Proper way to get a portuguese work visa

Post new topic

Hi everyone!
I'm Victoria from Russia and I've got an intention to find a job in Portugal and move there. So now I've got a question for originally non EU citizens who have already moved to Portugal. Could you please share your experiences in getting work visas? Had you applied for a job first and after getting job offer applied for visa or you'd already got a work permit before applying for jobs. As far as I know authorization to work is mandatory for a job applicant mostly but on the other hand a signed employment contract is necessary for applying for a working visa. I'm kinda confused. Does it make any sense to try to find a job without working permit or should I get married EU guy first. Joke :) But the point is serious. Would appreciate any advice on it.

Cheers!
