I live in an apartment in Q12 which is well out of the x pat area & I doubt you will get a huge, well  furnished, apartment here for 430usd. You might just get a 75m2 2 bedroom for that. On top of that you will pay aprox 800,000vnd for management fees & aprox 1million vnd for elect every month.
On the plus side its only 30 min from the airport.

Well, you'd be moving from a city of 2 million to one with 10 million plus and a correspondingly higher population density, so it will at least be more difficult to find what you are looking for.

Most people who work for home or are retired choose to live in smaller cities in Vietnam where demand and rents are lower.
