I have an opportunity to relocate to Saudi Arabia but I have concerns as I am married with 2 young daughters.

Moving to Riyadh next week - will be working for the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). Lived and worked in UAE and Malaysia before this, originally from the UK.

Would be great to hear from anyone who lives in/around DQ as thinking of moving somewhere there given its close to the office!

for hotel or furnished apartments, you can find an apartment easily through booking.com, use the map search for DQ area and choose the one that suits your budget and location. Hope you find friendly people around you.

Moving to Riyadh for work this coming Wednesday. Originally from the UK. Have lived and worked in Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur previously so fairly used to the expat life now!

Hoping to make new friends and have some fun during my time in KSA. Would love to hear from any DQ residents as that is the area I am looking at to stay in ideally given its proximity to my office.

Hi Halaa,
Welcome to Saudi. As an expat, you can buy an apartment or property in Saudi under some terms and conditions. You will need a permission from Ministry of Interior and they will ask you to proof strong financial condition or business. Most recently, property prices and rents came really down in the country so you have to decide wisely. All this only if you are planning to stay for a long long term in the country. If you need more details pls let me know.
