Advice on taking cats from Vietnam to the UK

Hello!

At some point I plan to take two kitties I adopted here in HCMC back to the UK with me via France. I am aware of the expenses of getting them prepared in terms of microchip/ vaccine/ blood test.  am aware I will need to land in Paris and taking them on the direct flight (either Air France or Vietnam Airways) will be around $200 per cat.

What I would love some advice on the flight itself and the the stages once you arrive in France / the UK.

How did your cats find the flight? Was there anything you did to make them more comfortable?
I'm obviously a bit nervous and want to make sure they aren't too stressed out.

Once we arrive in France are there any import costs?
What is the best way of getting to Calais from Paris? I considered renting a car but is there a train we can take?
Do we need someone to collect us in Calais so we can take the cats in the car?
Are there any import costs once we arrive in the UK?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Talk to a vet an the appropriate customs authorities.

Hi.

May I ask what the eventual cost of the flights was for your cats? I am aware of the vet bills and procedure. I have 3 cats and a puppy so it isn't going to be cheap!
