Hi

Have recently received offer from king saud university as a researcher with a package of 8500 SR monthly.

Is it OK to maintain a decent life in Riyadh? How is the social life in Riyadh for a single lady, as my husband stays in Jubail.

Is it easy to travel by air over weekends for a single lady without mehram?

Anyone who is already with King saud, whts the dress code for females?

I shall be grateful if you kindly answer the questions.

A researcher at KSU for 8500 S.R package!!!!  I say they're robbing you blind.

Princess sunshine

My husband works at KSU as a lecturer and earns more than double the amount you were offered.
Their dress code is formal, so perhaps the same would apply to the females???

How does one even get an offer from the university??

Harmonie

I often ask this question but for canada , as they don't tend to hire expats.

back to topic : that is a whole package for a researcher , that's the package a non researcher freshmen gets in his first year.

I've got an offer as an assistant professor with a salary of 14500 SAR (+ other benefits). What is your level of graduation and research experience?

Regards,

Akli

Hi There,

The package offered to yo from KSU is low, but it depends upon various elements:
1- Qulaifications
2- Experiences
3- Residence Status, i.e. if your residence permit "Iqama" is a dependant, you can not get as much as a an independent employee who comes to Saudi Arabia in Work Visa.

Msalash

I believe package is low, however what is your area of specialization
Living in Riyadh as single lady is not easy since you ll be depended upon drive to move around
