Driving license first time in Kuwait :)

Hello there! Getting a drivers license in Kuwait is relatively easy. With enough money/wasta (connections), you can get it without even doing anything, which I believe is part of the reason Kuwait has many traffic related issues.

I just got mine a year ago, so I remember it well.

1- Go to the local “DMV” (Kuwait’s equivalent) and get a permit for driving lessons.

2- Find a driving instructor who is willing to be patient with you and actually teach you the basics of driving. Just enough to allow you to easily pass the test, which in itself is incredibly simplistic.

3- You can do this during your lessons. Take the written test at the “DMV”, which is now on a touch screen and involves 10–20 questions. Its fairly simple. Some people find that they need to prepare for it by studying. I passed it without any prior preparatio because most of the questions are common-sense, but preparing and passing is better than not preparing and then failing it.

4- When you are ready, set up a test time at the local DMV. Your driving instructor Should be taking you to one of the few sand training areas (lots that are specifically set aside for driving lessons). There he will imitate the instructions you may be asked in the driving test, making you feel as prepared a step possible.

After that, it's fairly self-explanatory. I believe this is the way of going about getting a drivers license. I will confirm this with my father who is very knowledgeable in this subject and update any incorrect information.
