Flight reservation bookings

Hi has anyone done this before or recently....
book a flight to Mauritius and the return flight is a reservation booking?

When i arrive in Mauritius i will get my work/residence permit so i wont be using my return ticket....

Can anyone advise

Please note im from Cape Town so would need advise from here.

Hi There,

We came from Ireland in 2012 and the return tickets we paid for just lapsed. A few years later a friend of mine booked a one way ticket from the UK. and they would not let her in until she booked and paid for a return flight. She then cancelled it with the airline and got a refund. I did n't realize you could do this. Try speaking to your airline.
