The Philippines will welcome back foreign nationals starting Nov. 1 and allow Filipino travellers to leave without Covid-19 antigen tests as the Southeast Asian nation continues to reopen.

I got my visa to return to the Philippines in August - however this was based on the fact that I am the spouse of a Filipino citizen.  All none Filipino nationals wanting to go to the Philippines must have a visa from the consulate in the country of departure or residency.

I am wondering how to advertise for a berth in any boat going back to Australia as the complications of trying to fly are beyond me. I have already lost one ticket. I have sailed before for a few years.

john have you bothered to talk to the Australian government via immigration? While I or others know little of your situation (in the Philippines I assume) They will be your first port of call to understand your situation. As an Aussie citizen they are there to help.

OMO.

It seems hard to find information about this...I looked it up on the website https://philippines.travel/safeph (I'm not sure, but it looks official), and there it says (amongst other things), pursuant to the entry of foreign nationals:

From November 1, 2020, the following foreign nationals are allowed to enter the Philippines:

Those with visas issued by the Bureau of Immigration pursuant to EO No. 226 or the Omnibus Investments Code, as amended, and Republic Act No. 8756
Those with 47(a)(2) visas issued by the Department of Justice
Those with visas issued by Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority, and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority
The entries shall be subject to the following conditions:

Traveler must have valid and existing visa at the time of entry.
Traveler must have pre-booked accredited quarantine facility.
Travel should be subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry.
Travel should be without prejudice to applicable immigration laws, rules and regulations.

I haven't found anything about the length and conditions of the quarantine, for example, nor does it specify under what conditions it is possible to obtain a visa. Anyone?

The quarentine will last as long as it takes to get the test results of negative.  A friend of mine was quarentined one day in manila.  Then after he got to his home he had to 15 day self quarentine.

Thank you. I still wonder about the pre-booking part, there must be a list of government approved hotels somewhere, but I haven’t found it yet. Do you know what type of visa (business, tourist, retiree) your friend has?

I suppose there are no requirement for permanent residents to leave the country, I was at immigration and ask, they said all I need is my I card, same as before when I go

I still have my resident in the Philippines, I think.  I thought residency status in the Philippines is permanent and doesn't have to be renewed.  Is this true?  I want to visit the Philippines next year but I don't have a current passport. Can I still apply for one and get one during the lockdown? Is the Philippine Consulate in the U.S. issuing one to
