I name is Faderera Oladuni, I am a Lawyer. You can adopt by paying a visit to either the Ministry of Women Affairs or Ministry of Youth and Social Development depending on the state you reside. You can't do it successfully with out the help of a Lawyer.

I guess the use of the word adopt is used with respect to humans. I presume you're looking to adopt a child. In the Lagos area, my Sister In Law works with the Ministry of Social Services. Her husband is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. I can assure you you'll be fine with them.
