Hi All,

I have a query related to the subject title.

My wife is on visit visa and she's pregnant. We want to deliver baby here but she doesn't have any medical  insurance and iqama.  Could anyone please share any information related to the medical insurance for visit visa holders? And without insurance if we go for birth delivery how much they will charge?

Your quick response is highly appreciated.

Thanks, 🙏

I have answered this before many times.

Unfortunately, the visit visa medical insurance doesn't cover OPD or Maternity. It is not a medical insurance but rather an emergency / accident insurance.  You cannot get medical insurance inside Saudi without an Iqama.  The only option would be to get an international medical insurance which would cover the costs in Saudi but for one, it will be very expensive and two, it still won't cover maternity as when you get policies as an individual, they come with a waiting period on some benefits like maternity, dental etc.  Meaning that coverage only starts after a year or two which doesn't help you as your wife is pregnant now.

I am not sure on the exact costs but I believe that these would be in the range of 10000 to 30000 SAR for a routine pregnancy/checkups and so on with variation among quality of hospitals.

Thanks for asking - yes, you are not allowed to post phone numbers or any contact details.  You can ask people to PM you.

And secondly, please be transparent.  What you are offering is NOT health insurance but rather discount cards when paying cash.   Terms and conditions from your website:

Terms and Conditions
- Does not consider Arab Takaful card for health care as health insurance and are not intended to replace the health insurance programs.
- Card provides a discount on the price of some health care providers.
- Discount scale varies according to the type of health care provider and type of service provided.
- Members needed (cardholders) to pay all health care costs to get a discount from health care providers under contract with Takaful Arabic.

Saves money but doesn't solve the OP's problem completely.

Yes it is not possible but you can check with Sanad Hospital, They have some freebies if you will avail the card . It will discounted you 25% for the cost. Even for check up.
