Keep Using Saudi Debit Card Abroad After Leaving on a Final Exit

Post new topic

Hello guys, i am working in Saudi on an iqama, my iqama expires by the end of 2021, but i plan on leaving Saudi for good at the beginning of 2021.

Will i still be able to use my Saudi bank account and keep some small amounts of money in the account even after i leave on a final exit, or will that put me in trouble with the Saudi authorities? I heard that i am supposed to empty and close my accounts before leaving.

Will my banking services stop even though my iqama still has many more months until it expires?
I heard my bank accounts would remain active and usable until my iqama expires, is that right? Do you think it's safer to close the bank accounts and keep using STC Pay for example?

I don't have any credit cards and no debt, i only seek to use my saudi debit card (for personal reasons) after leaving while abroad for a while, but i don't want to have issues with Saudi authorities even after leaving.

If you go on final exit then your iqama will be finished as soon as you leave the country. So, all the other services will be useless.

Are you sure that bank accounts become unusable when you go on Final exit? Even if your iqama is no longer valid your bank accounts won't automatically be closed, they should continue to be valid until the iqama's original expiry date, no?

Not at all. As soon as you leave the country your iqama will be terminated and all the services as well.
