Hi,

I'm applying for Dependant visa  , my husband company has asked to give birth certificate which is issued in last 6 months. When I asked in municipal office to renew the certificate, they are telling it will be given only once, and they don't renew. Any leads please?

I applied for D visa for myself and my family recently. I was also told initially that they need birth and marriage certificates issues within last 6 months. Then, my relocation company checked with the Flanders region if existing/old certificate with recent apostille/legalization was ok and they said it will work.

So. maybe you can also check if apostille/legalization of the document will work. The apostille/legalization shouldn't be older than 6 months.

First hand experience, a copy legalised by Belgium Embassy in your home country works fine. But it should not be older than 6 months.

Normally most of the people get their birth certificated issued when they are born. They must be asking for a certificate which is apostilled within the last 6 months and not a birth certificate produced in the last 6 months.
