How to find out who owns a property

I've seen an empty property and I'd like to find out who owns it.  The neighbours don't have any contact details for the owners.

Is there an equivalent site to the UK Land Registry where you can download the deeds for a property to find out the owners details?

Thanks

Hello Ralph, the only way I would do about to find out the name of the owners is by asking a Nota Simple. Anyone can ask this from a Property Registry close to you. And in there you have a bit more info about the property, the owners. See bellow what exactly u can find when u look at a Nota Simple:

"A nota simple is a report from the Property Registry that describes the property. Information about the property usually includes:

whether the property has debts, usually for mortgages or unpaid taxes.
the current owner
the boundaries
the total square meters of the land, and of the house if there is one.
how the land has been classified: rústico, urbano, or urbanizable.
the rights that others may have on the property, such as public paths/roads, water or sewage lines."

Hope this helps !
