Dears,

To introduce myself, I am an Indian and my parents were also working here in Saudi Arabia. I was born and brought up here in Riyadh.
I started working in a company from February 2015 and the company was going fine till 2018.
Then the company went into a loss as the management were careless and didn't care about their employees.

They did not give us the vacation salaries, and also monthly salaries were not paid on time. Even there are a lot of labor cases in their name and the government has blacklisted the company's CR and all official things.

So the employer, he registered a new company in his name with a new CR and transferred all the existing employees to that name, without our consent.
Is this illegal?

Please tell me if the new Labor Reforms Initiative which is going to be launched in March 14th, 2021 can help me to move from this company to another. ?

No one knows exactly what the labor reform act will lead to.  Let it come out first.

On the transfer, legally speaking, you should have signed a new contract under the new CR.  However, practically speaking, they can do that as the system doesn't stop them from this.

I haven't signed any contract yet for the new company.
The only contract I have is with the old blacklisted company.

So the only option is to wait till March 14th, and see how things turn out ?

Moreover, 75 percent of the employee's Iqamas were expired and all of them changed their sponsorship to other companies.

They renewed my Iqama as they were afraid I would also leave the company. I am really looking forward to change my company. Hoping the new labor initiatives can help.
