After waiting 4 years for completion of our Mazatlan Condo, we are looking forward to spending our first winter in our new city. Currently plans are for 6 months in Mazatlan; 6 months home in Minnesota. Bringing cats and a few personal items, we are looking for suggestions on best port of entry for a one day Drive through Mexico to our Mazatlan home. Any thoughts?

I've always found going through Arizona to be the best route. Texas can be the worst and T.J. has the back and forth tourist issue. My preference is less traffic and less risk

Nogales is your best bet going to Mazatlan. 13 hour drive from there. Toll road most of the way. Plenty of places to stay along the way if you decide to stop.

Thanks! Nogales is the plan and a straight shot: dawn to dusk. Thanks!
