Hello everybody!
I have been following this forum for several months now, reading through different topics and trying to get a little more acquainted with Tanzania this way.
One thing I can't figure out though is the cost of living in Tanzania. I hear so many different things, - from it so CHEAP, accommodation, etc. - others say, - it's very expensive. As an expat you are expected to pay for a nanny, a gardener, a live-in security man, etc. just to avoid being hassled.
Also, - when I look at the housing section on this site, it definitely doesn't look cheap at all.
Most of the apartments I see, are between $1000 and $1500 a month for a three bedroom apartment or house.
Thats almost like in the US or many places in Europe...
So whats the deal?
