Changing Jobs

Post new topic

AytugGurbuz

I am a fairly new expat in Thailand. One question that has always been bugging my mind is what happens if you have to change your job without notice. Do you get time to look for another job in the country, or do you have to return to your country and look while there? Especially with the quarantine requirements and the expenses, I have to be prepared.

I would be more than glad if someone can clear it for me.

Usually you have to inform your current job 1 month before terminated contract. It’s the law here. I’m searching and try to get a new job before notice them.

Feel free to ask me if you have any question.
Thanks

Thank you for the reply. So I have that 1 month only to look for a job? After that period, and I am out of the company, I am not given any additional period to keep looking for a job in Thailand without turning back to my home country?

You should get a new job first then inform the current job that you will leave. And you have 1 months before start new job
