Post new topic

Hi,  I will leave for ksa from Bahrain on 20 May after completing quarantine.  I have new work visa. Since I am a first timer I am little nervous after looking at the current changes made by Saudi Arabia .

Thanks in advance

So what's your question?

Yes, things are unclear.  But what is clear is that if you are not vaccinated, you will have to do quarantine in MOH approved facility at your own expense.    The bit that is not clear is - what about people who have taken only one dose but IN Saudi (one dose outside Saudi doesn't count) and also land border treatment for these guidelines.

Anyway, why don't you post back about your experience on 20th May so that others can benefit from it?   as these guidelines go into effect on 20th May.

I arrived in Bahrain immigration  on 5th May at 15:30 . If I calculate 14 days from here today on 19th May 15:30 I should be eligible.
New policy will be in place from 20 May.
If I leave tonight before 12:00 will they let me in without institutional quarantine? What's your advice on this?

XTang

You can try but they might just turn you back from the border - I have seen them count days and usually, they have no issues if you enter on the 15th day as per the below definition:

It's not counted on 24 hour basis - it is counted on full days outside the country.  So if you exited on 5th may, that day counts as INSIDE the previous country.....your count in Bahrain starts from the next day i.e. 6th May.

I will reach there around 11 pm today . If they will raise this issue I will wait there for an hour and go after 12:00 on 20th.

Hi Xtang,
did you hear anything more about the current situation ar thel causeway? latest updates i have heard is that they r turning back people without vaccination at the causeway. what we still dont know is about “single dose immune” residents from Saudi.
have you heard anything further?

XTang

That's exactly the confusion.  I am planning to cross tomorrow with a single dose so let's see what happens.

And yes, it seems that if you are not vaccinated at all, you can't travel via the causeway and instead take a flight. This is probably due to the institutional quarantine requirements which they have only allowed you to do via air.

thnx for the reply.. please update as you cross.
i intend to travel on sunday morning.
good luck

just now heard from someone on the kfcauseway insta page that he was able to cross today with a single dose immune on tawakkalna and a PCR certificate.

XTang

Great.  I am going there around 5.  Thanks for the update

XTang

I crossed into Saudi. No issue.  Showed my status in tawakkalna and a pcr test within 72 hours and was through.

They were turning back lots of people though.... Especially the ones with vaccines taken in India, sinopharm / sputnik in Bahrain etc.
