Hire New Employee

Usually multiple visas don't convert.  You have to cancel them and apply for a visa.  Otherwise, the application will go through each step and at the NPRA phase, get rejected.

So my new employee got his new passport issued and we had to transfer the employee's multiple visa from the old passport to the new one which was done by the immigration dept and the system was updated but no sticker was issued as the machine wasn't working.

The PRO proceeded to cancel the employee's multiple visa in order to apply for the residence permit and when trying to submit the application in LMRA it says that the passport number doesnt have any kind of visa its giving some kind of an error.

The PRO has been trying to fix the issue with the immigration department but apparently the officer that did the cancellation is on leave.

Any ideas for resolution?

Nothing you can do yourself.  PRO has to keep visiting immigration / LMRA to sort it out.
