Overlapping of EU Blue Card and Single Permit

Hello,

I have a query about the overlapping period of Blue Card and Single Permit.

My new Employer is filing Blue Card for me and I already have a Single Permit with my current employer.

The problem is that my new Employer has the contract with the start date of 1st Aug and my notice period with my current employer ends on 4th Aug.
I am trying to convince my current employer to reduce 3 days and also ask my new employer to be OK with 4th at the same time.

My new employer suggested let's go with the 1st Aug for now, for the sake of Blue Card however, they will make an exception for me to join on 4th Aug incase my current employer doesn't agree.

What I want to know is, will the overlap of the permit cause any issues?

Thanks!

To my best knowledge, probably ministry will demand resignation from your current employment with your LWD mentioned in it, that should be normally before your next employer Joining date, otherwise there could be an objection, or they will issue the permit valid from a date after your lwd, and you can only join your next company after that date. Hope that clarify something 😊

Thanks for the reply Mohan. Do you mean as a part of the application process I'll be asked for this document?
Coz until now it has not been asked.

Yes normally it is asked.
