Issue a birth certificate for non-resident with no CPR

Post new topic

waeltawfik

Hi..

I was born in Bahrain in the 1970s and I have a Bahraini birth certificate in Arabic. My family left when I was 6 years. Now I want to issue a new bilingual birth certificate but I don't have a CPR. Does anyone have an idea how to do this from outside Bahrain and without a CPR?

Thanks,

mremijr

If you contact Bahrain embassy in your country

There is no standard process for this.   The easiest way would be to get a certified translation of the birth certificate done.

I have a copy of the Arabic version and I need an original bilingual certificate

I tried to contact the consulate but they seem clueless

Of course they are clueless, as I told you, there is nothing in the standard process for this.  This will require a lot of leg work through visiting different ministries with no guarantee of success.  Try to locate a strong PRO with connections but I would suspect that most would be clueless as well.

Your best bet would checking with the Bahrain consulate or embassy where you are based at.
Have you checked on the Bahrain.bh website under birth certificate issuance?

The site says you need to go in person if you are born before 1994. I did send someone however on my behalf but the reply was we need a CPR number.

What you need to realize, as I keep telling you, that it is NOT a standard process.  YOU, yourself, would need to go in person or find someone really connected to help you out.  Sitting somewhere remotely and approaching Bahrain embassy etc., will not get you anywhere.

Your point is clear.
Thank you.
