Travel restriction in the greater SGN area.

Where do I find a list of any travel restrictions?
I want to travel from Nha Trang to Chau Doc by 6 hours of bus and return.

Where do they say it is safe to travel?

I don't  think there is a bus service going to Chau Doc at this time, especially if you have to pass by HCMC.

RealPommy

But where are the travel restrictions mentioned in official papers?

RealPommy

Let me worry about the bus. Last time, the bus went OK, but the hotel recommended me not to come.

Contact the bus company you want to travel with.

Based on the title you have chosen (about the "greater SGN area") a person must have an "essential" reason for even walking outside on the sidewalk.

Based on my experience during the Đà Nẵng lockdown last summer, "essential" activities included:

Banking, grocery shopping, pharmacies, post office and health care facilities for urgent care only.

Before you even worry about finding an official list, it's important for you to determine if you have an essential purpose for travel which will convince a checkpoint official to allow you to pass.

Since even the U.S. Consulate has had to suspend routine operations, any routine reason you have for traveling will likely be insufficient to allow you to get to your destination (especially since busses and taxis won't be operating)

"In an urgent directive released on Saturday evening, the municipal People’s Committee decided to temporarily stop the operations of taxis, app-based car services, inner buses, and inter-provincial coaches as a new epidemic control measure."

Since it is unlikely the bus you want to take does not stop in HCMC,  I don't think there's much chance your bus is running, and if it somehow were, you'd still have to worry about checkpoints and a three-week quarantine.

OK, got it. I try to go to Dien Bien Phu and HAN next month and see if it works.
I have got no info about the situation in the HAN area other than there are no travel restrictions and no quarantine enforced of any kind.

Anyone with other info? Please inform.

Thanks for the info.
