Hello!
I am an EU member trying to get an F card for my non EU partner (we have been together 7 years). Already did the whole family reunification process and we have our appointment for the result soon.
What would happen if it were to be denied? I read that just re applying again is the best option but, will he get his orange card removed until we re apply again? We are very worried about that since my partner already got a job, a job that was super hard to get. He cant loose his work permit.
We think we sent all the needed paperwork but Ive been reading so many stories that I got freaked out.
Anyone knows a similar case? What would be the best option? Thank you!

Does he have a work permit or he is working on his orange card? I don't get these processes so well, so maybe the question is silly. If he has his work permit, this should be non-related to his F card application, then he has the right to be here as long as the work permit is valid? Anyhow, I doubt they will reject you if your history of the relationship is so long. I really believe they just want to make sure people do not fake relationships to enter the country and as long as you can firmly confirm this they will not reject you. Good luck!

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply. He is working on his orange card actually. Thats why we are a bit worried.
Hopefully we get a positive answer. Thank you :)

He won’t be rejected. There is no reason to reject him. My husband worked with his orange card, which he got based on my card D. Then after 9 months he received Card A. Before receiving it, his company was willing to apply for him but they waited for the reunification procedure. He is now working with his card A. In the worst case for your partner, his company can apply for him if rejected.

If your husband is working there is no chance he will get rejected. Normally this F-card process depends on the EU spouse as he/she is responsible for all the Financials. They do not want to have non EU burden on the country.

Take my example i was not even working but I still got my F-card. The decision was made at the last day of my orange card expired took 6 months.

And in last week of the card expired you can provide city hall with your and your partner latest financial records and ask them to sent to immigration department. We did it with my application. It worked for us.
