After denial of visa

Post new topic

Itchy dean

Hi,

My story is a bit confusing.
I applied for residence permit in Brazil few days before the end of my tourist visa.
Then after 2 months, I have received the denial of my reseidence permit in Brazil. I was notified by Policia federal that i have 60 days to regularazie my situation or leave the country.

I want to know if I will be asked to pay a fine when leaving the country for each day after receiving the decision.
The paper they gave me is ambiguous (see in photo).

Thank you in advance.

Itchy,
If the PF granted the 60 days, you should not be fined until day 61.

Hello, thanks for the answer.
You mean the fine starts from the day 61 ?

What was the basis of your residency request,  and why was it rejected?

Uniao estavel
they said it needs 1 year of uniao estavel to be accepted

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that. Not many have provided this denial?

Itchy dean

and by the way, what are my chances of getting residency if we get married? would this denial affect the next application?
thanks in advance

If you get married,  you should be able to stay on that basis.  Your partner should call the Polícia Federal to confirm that, though.

Which PF office told you that there was a one year waiting period?

Was your partner with you when you made your application?   When it was rejected?

Agree with abthree.
You got the cart before the horse.
You must be married before applying for a family reunion visa.
I question why PF said one year before applying. I married and applied the next day. Now, back then it took a while to receive the CRNM, but they give you a "protocol" small piece of paper with your number and allows you to stay. (do not lose it)
You need all documents and the more you have ready the faster the process.

One more crucial question.   Did you and your partner make your união estável official in a cartório, or just declare it?  In the second case, that could be why they're specifying a one year period.

I've never heard of the PF rejecting a "Traslado" from a cartório documenting a relationship on any basis.
