Hello,

I am Bhagyashri. I am from India. I live in Belgium as my husband who is also an Indian works here. I have residence card type a (onbeperkt). Do I need work permit to work in Belgium?
My second question is, on Belgian visa type D can I apply for jobs in Netherlands? Do I need to apply for Netherlands visa if I get job in Netherlands or I just need dutch work permit to work in Netherlands with existing Belgian visa?

Thank you in advance.

You are on dependent status and if your Residence Permit does say, onbeperkt, then you do not need a work permit. But remember your unlimited work permit is still linked to you husband having a valid work permit.

For the second question, your husband (and so is your) Residence Permit is linked to the Work Permit being active. I dont think you can have a Belgian residence permit and work in Netherlands.
Things would be different if you get Belgian Permanent Residency or Belgian nationality.

To work in Netherlands, you will need a work permit from Netherlands and chances are there your Belgian residence permit is no longer valid as you will need to apply for a Netherlands Residence Permit.

Cheers,
N
