Hi,i am considering opening an Absa account here in South Africa, for when i do plan to make use of premium visa-work remotely,my thinking is that somehow i can use my absa card in Mauritius,or somehow its easier for me to use a SA Absa card in Mauritius?  anyone else doing this?  is this the best and most cost effective route for me?  or must i just open a Mauritius Bank account and avoid all the hassles?  txxx

I will also be on a Premium visa and I am busy opening an account with Absa.  Their customer service has been fantastic so far.  Just lots of paperwork required to open an account.  Using your SA card when on the island will attract a lot of bank fees.

@Aldrid   It would be best to open an ABSA Mauritius bank account

This is obviously much more easily done in person once you are in Mauritius, but can be done remotely once you have sent them all the required KYC ("know your client") supporting documents
