Wildfires in the Gois area

Post new topic

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if the Gois area has suffered from Wildfires in the past, we are looking at purchasing a property there but are worried that this could be a major issue now and even more so in the future.

The risks of wildfires are real.

Wow, that’s very very scary and has confirmed my concerns, thank you for sharing this, it’s appreciated

That map reflects the fire risk, given the temperatures today (August) across the country. Unfortunately, this is the case throughout Southern Europe ... and not only that, .... in Sweden (last year), in Siberia (this year), ..... if you're running away from fire risk, ...  are there safe places nowadays.... ?

Totally agree, we have been looking at apartments in the Portimao, I think this is a safer bet, less risk.

This site https://fogos.pt/ also provides good - up to date - information on fires.

Thank you
