Do you know if i can continue to use my Bulgarian residency card after Brexit(Still valid for another 3yrs). Or do i need to change to a new one since we have left the EU.

I'm not yet at the residency card stage (missed that boat!) so I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but I'm almost certain it needs to be changed.

Depends what version you have, it’s it’s the new style Article 50 (don’t know when they started issuing these) then no. If it’s the old style then yes. There’s a deadline for the end of this year I believe.

Sorry I can’t be more specific, this doesn’t apply to me, so this is just info I’ve absorbed being part of the many BG expat FB groups, I recommend joining some and searching topics for this, it’s discussed often.

Also the BG embassy should be able to answer this, their FB page is kept well up to date

@HelenDinBG is absolutely right, as usual!

Here's the official info:
https://www.mvr.bg/en/about-the-ministr … out-brexit

In particular:

"In this regard please be aware that according to the law you are obliged to replace your document before the expiration of its term of validity (extended as specified in the first paragraph) and in any case before the end of 2021 – whichever of the two comes first."

Thanks for the advice , Do you know if the previous 2yrs spent on the old residency will count towards the new card or will it be a new 5yrs residency from the date of issue?

It's a simple replacement (EU citizen card for Article 50 for Brits card) with same expiry date. Not complicated, minimal documentation required.
