Hello everyone, we applied for family reunification for me and my son to join my husband. After 3 weeks passed, yesterday I received an email which is about missing documents. While we made our application, the rental contract registration was missing and I put an explanation for it.

Now they asks for it. The issue is that our landlord ask for it from Hasselt office but he said that, the office in Hasselt is closed and the registration docs returned to him. The new office is in Genk, and he didn’t bother to send the docs to Genk.

So not to lose time  my husband make the registration from the website myrent with help of a friend ( while we were making visa appointment, the website was broke and now it’s fixed). But now we don’t know if the registration from myrent is sufficient or should we make something else?

I asked vfs but they said they cannot check document online. And my husband said the friend who helped registration said that there is a warning this doc should be confirmed. We will call Genk office on Monday but I would like to ask experienced friends about this document’s validation when it’s done from myrent website…

And they also ask for loonbrieves for a year. I provided last 3 months income details of my husband. Because he is in Belgium for a year but he had issues with his first employee and he changed his job after 2 months (he went to law for this issue) and waited his single permit renewal for 3 months (because Christmas the process was long) so he started his new job 1 april. I wonder  that if they see his salary not enough for a family. He pays 850 euro rent and earns around 1800. But he has unlimited time contract and his boss is happy with him. Do you think this income is enough for government for our reunification? I will write explanations if the periods he passed in detail while I provide his 6 months income docs.

I both provided unlimited work contact for him and house rental contract which has also my name.

We have been waiting for a year to apply and I am very anxious about these. thanks for your comments and sorry for long explanation. Stay safe 🙏🏼

Hello,

For the rental contract you can just register in myrent.be and the minimum income is around 1650 Euros net per month. Between when did you applied for your VISA ?

Hello, I wonder if you have any updates on the myRent situation. Also, how was your husband able to get his residency (communal registration) without having a registered rental lease ?

Hi, he made his registration to the commune with his rental contract. As I know they didn't ask for registration papers.

For the rental registration, a friend called to SPF Finance customer services which myrent is connected. And they said that it's ok to make registration from my rent because it is only allowed to be made with id card reader and id pin, so this makes document official. And they said previously they sign the paper but now there is a barcode number on the registration paper when it is made online and it shows that this documents is ok.

Hope this helps..

Dear Allon, after I wrote my comment we received an email that the registration not complete because my and husbands birthday is missing in the contract, we sent an email again with that info and they sent us the registration document. So the first one you take output from myrent is only for application, you will receive the approval after a few days , for your information
