Hello there and was wondering if anyone can help me.
I am looking to move to Estonia from Australia and would like to know if there are any taxes on the importation of personal effects.
If some one could answer any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Armand

Personal Items that are carried with luggage. There are no import fees. However, if you do bring something that is brand new and is in its originalpackage, be sure to have a receipt with you, whowing you purchased it abroad or outside the European Union.

If you are sending something to Estonia via post, note it as a gift on customs form from the country you are sending it from, and mark its value less than 100 dollars. If you indicate it is merchandise (like a laptop computer or some expensive technology) customs VAT tax is I believe currently 17% of the products value.

Good Luck!
