Free to air satellite ?

Hi,

I've seen an advert online for an apartment which has "free to air" satellite tv.

Can anyone explain to me what channels I may receive ? I'm thinking this would be like freeview we get in the UK,but I didnt think there was anything like that available in Malta.

Hi, Free to Air satellite collection is simply a satellite receiver unit pointed at a selected satellite (transmitter) and receiving any 'unencrypted' transmissions available. In the main these will be in many differing languages and pretty useless however there may be a few English language but do not expect to pick up any of the Freesat (Freeview is not satellite) channels such as BBC, ITV etc.
