Hi There,

I live in UK under Tier-2 route. I have applied for my husband (tier 2 dependent visa), he live outside the UK.

My questions is how long it takes to get the decision after the bio-metric (standard service)?

What confusing me is, when i do random google search it says 12-weeks. However, i checked the Gov.uk page related to tier-2 visa and it says outside UK it take 3 weeks.

Anyone can help me? its so stressing :( , his bio-metric was on 13th December.

Thanks

Cynic

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

It took my son-in-law 3 months exactly from the date he applied to the date he got the sticker in his passport at the British Embassy in Amsterdam; he applied from the Netherlands approximately 6 months ago.  Covid has caused lots of issues with people working from home.

Hope this helps.

Hi Cynic,

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

I understand because of covid and Christmas+ new year, they are taking long.
He lives in Pakistan, so probably take the same in case.

Thanks
Nisa
