Hello!
My name is Anna and my husband and I are looking to move to Lecce with our 6 year old daughter.
If anyone has any English expat resources (we are from New York) within Lecce, we would love to learn about them.
Thank you!

Ciao Expats. I'm a single, adventurous 49yr old moving to Rome in January to go to film school. I'm pretty sure I"ll be the oldest in my class and am reaching out to meet some peers. I'll also be looking for a church and possibly a part time job. Are there social gatherings hosted by this forum to meet and great?
Looking forward to making new friends -
Flora

I am Oliver, I'm 40 and I moved to Lucca, Tuscany from the UK a few years back and I am looking to make some expat friends (English speaking ideally) in and around the Lucca area. Get in touch if you would like to connect
Thanks,

Hi Oliver,
On Monday afternoons at 4pm in Lucca there is a gathering called English Speaking Mondays at Bar del Sole where all the expats get together for a drink and a chat so a perfect place to meet everyone.

I'm very new here. Just joined expat. Moved from California (Silicon Valley) to Florence about a week ago. Located near the Duomo. Working as internet entrepreneur and now, as a digital nomad. Will be using Florence as a base for Europe meetings, etc. So happy that I did it. Best experience ever.
Looking to connect with other traveling souls to learn more about Florence and the surrounding areas.

@Tracey-Anne Liles Good evening, Tracy, how are you? I hope you are fine. I am Mohamed from Algeria. I have been looking for work in farms and hotels for a long time. I have applied for all jobs on all continents, but the problem is that employers require me to obtain a work permit before I travel, and this is impossible without a work contract. These days I heard about the Decreto Flussi law and that there are work contracts that will be issued in all fields. If you can help me find an employer to issue me a work contract so that I can apply for a residence permit for Italy, I would be very grateful. I can compensate you after traveling and working there, God willing. Unfortunately, many Arabs from North Africa are not cooperative and want Europe for them only. They seek to frustrate people, nothing more, and this is proven by the new immigrants who dealt with them. I can accompany you to your place of work, God willing, and help you with tasks. I only hope that I will find someone to hire me.
Sorry for the long letter!
@oliverwilson1982 hello sir, how are you doing? I'm Mohammed from Algeria, I'm applying for lot of jobs in europe, Gulf area , USA and Canada but unfortunately most of employers want me to get work permit before hiring , can you help me sir if you know some farm owners, hotels employers in Italy please
Hello Mohammedkkhorb,
Unfortuantely, none of the members on the forum will be able to help you get a job.
I can only advise you to continue looking for jobs online. You might be able to find some luck that way
Also, we have some job offers in the Jobs in Italy section. Have you tried applying for them?

I just asked her to help me find an employer who can provide a job contract not to hire me by herself. Most of European employers asked me to get work permit at first but this is impossible cause I need a contract then I'll be able apply for resident permit and work permit
