I'm heading to Ecuador in March to look at some commercial properties. Is a special license needed to sell liquor?

In 2017, after 15 people died from liquor contamination in Quito, liquor license requirements were enforced in hundreds of raids on establishments selling spirits.
Over 100 bars and sellers were charged with violations in the Quito raids.

Check with the authorities in the jurisdiction(s) where you desire to sell liquor. Laws and enforcement of liquor ordinances may be different in Nalgas de Cerda, Sucumbíos, than in the capital.
