Checked today and as expected it’s still Pending, I’m just excited and hopeful that it gets approved quickly without asking for additional documents from me or from my employer 🙏

If your University appears on the MoM SAT for EP application, does that imply it’s accredited and recognized by MoM and so there will only be little chances of requiring a third party agency to validate my degree?

Really thankful to this thread! Good luck to everyone who’s waiting for their passes to get approved! smile.png

Hello, can anyone please advise what is the average processing time for Singapore PR in 2022. Is it delayed because of covid backlog. Thanks in advance

Nope, it’s pretty normal- usual 6 months time frame

@kavyasetty69

Congrats!

So you will work remotely from Singapore? May I ask for the position applied, your nationality and University? This would help me because I have never been granted and EPass, although according t SAT, I am qualified for an EPass, whenever I get approved, I fall down to SPass. I just think it may have something to do with my citizenship or university.

I would appreciate if you send me a reply. Thanks!

@Unknown2022 Congrats...
btw, i saw your previous post, seems like your company applied EP with 4.5K salary and you still got EP huh?
Did you check in SAT tool, whether you can get EP with salary of 4.5K? or based on SAT tool you are eligible for SPass, but still you got EP huh?

If you dont mind, can you share your experience and industry info? Thanks

Just sharing my experience

I am EP holder and my wife was on DP (my wife came to SG on Jan 2022)

My wife cleared interview for one of the small semi-condutor company for IC design role
Experience: 3.5 years and relevant experience: 2yrs
Education: Masters in VLSI design
As per SAT tool minimum salary for her experience is :6300, but company applied EP with 5300 salary

Frist time EP applicant
7 Apr 2022 - EP applied
8 Apr 2022 - Pending
22 Apr 2022 - Approved

Took 10 working days for EP approval

Good to know that, there are chances to get EP even if we cannot meet salary that was from SAT tool assessment (this is encouraging).

Good luck everyone who are waiting for their EP

We already know that for Malaysians, lower salary thresholds apply.
But if your wife has a different nationality (please clarify!), then this is indeed new and unusual.
Guest73623974
@beppi
nationality: Indian
beppi
Nandakumar: Then it is very unusual - either a new development or a mistake by the processing officer. I believe the latter. Make sure she earns above the SAT threshold by the time her pass needs renewal!

Got it .. Thanks for the info

1st time EP application

I've heard that EP approval is a bit slow for teachers because the industry is not high-needs :/
I know on the website it says within 3 weeks, but it looks like it might 4+ weeks (which is the case for others I have talked to).

Would love to hear from other teachers who have gotten EP or are also in the process!

My story and one question:

I said YES to US based start-up (founded in 2012) who registered newly in Singapore in 2022.

Hike was pretty good (35%+)
30/03/2022: EP applied
12/04/2022: MoM asked for additional info. especially about the company, other employees pay, justification for hike given to me.
25/04/2022: Info given to MoM
28/04/2022: approved (I am great full for that)

However, EP approved is only for 12months. From past experience, I know new EP approval is usually for 24months.

Anyone has any idea why is it now 12months ? Is it same for others recently ?

Addons:
I am Indian, in Singapore for over 8years working in Semiconductor industry.

@beppi

Nandakumar's case:
May be this approval is because of the current Manpower shortage in Semiconductor industry ?

Hi
Hope you are having a good day!

I am having some doubts on my Employment pass. I have got an offer and the company is planning to apply E pass on 22nd May as they have posted the Job in Careerfuture on 20th April.

When I opened the job link in Careerfuture it shows the applications are closed for this job. Also job range is $3500-4000 where my salary is $6500 (SAT tool it shows I am eligible to get E pass with this salary). But in some other job websites like Monster.com, they have posted the same role for higher salary.

My question is "Due to the earlier closure of getting application and salary range is exceeding in the range posted in careerfuture advertisement, will be my E pass rejected?"

It was 8 months for us, but also heard people waiting for over a year!

@Anony4sf

If it’s any consolation… so many of our friends and co-workers, even at MD and C-level only received a one year EP renewal. And this is for people in a very niche industry  too who lived in Spore for many years. Don’t know what is going exactly, but is seems to be the trend lately.

- @rakshikaravi
The company is only allowed to hire you (and apply for your work pass) after the compulsory mycareersfuture posting for 28 days is completed and no suitable local applicant was found.
As I understand from your post, it was not completed and wasn't for the same job (higher salary means different job scope).
You should clarify with the employer whether you still have a chance to get that job!
