Pending status: May 2 2022

IPA Approved : May 9 2022

Timeline : 5 working days

Salary: 8k+

Current location : Philippines

1st time EP application: yes

Hi All,

Wanted to share my experience:

EP Applied: 28th March (3rd EP in Singapore, have been here since 2014)

Approved: 13th May

The reason for the delay (as per my guess was that HR didn't submit a cover letter explaining why I should be hired versus local candidates available in the market). This is something that @beppi and @shekhz have said a zillion times about the importance of this!

It's been a very testing wait as I was unhappy with my current job but this gives hope to others who are waiting.

April 18 - applied

May 08 - rejected (due to unpaid tax balance) exact 21 days

May 08 - paid tax and appealed

May 16 - APPROVED/VALID

29 days waiting time
