Try - clicking on your profile photo - subscriptions then dig around in there or click on notifications and look around in there there may be a setting thats unclicked

Yeah I just noticed it's happening to me on my Android phone using Google Chrome.

I sent a note to admin asking them to look into it

Cheryl

Hello everyone,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I just informed our team and they will look into it.

Cheers,

Are you logged in to your account?   I think you may need to be.  Right now I am in the Quick Post box at the bottom of the thread.  It has a check mark spot in the lower left corner to "Subscribe to this topic."  If you don't want to subscribe by posting a comment, you can just subscribe at the Turquoise box just below that and to the right of the "New topic" box with orange letters.   I am in Firefox.  In Chrome, I do not see the two boxes below this window but the check mark option is still there.

Who are you talking to?

If it's me, yes I'm signed in to my account.

I'm logged in and subscribing to a whole list of topics and it also says I'm getting notified once a week. So that's not it

I just tried it on my phone with chrome and it's the same problem the screen starts to go a little bit dark but nothing pops up or happens and it doesn't allow me to subscribe. By the way my original post was referring to Windows 10. I didn't mean on this post but others. So we'll see what Cheryl can come up with

I have logged the problem, an Admin will be in touch.

It's a JavaScript problem.

However, turning off JavaScript in my Chrome browser on an Android phone limits some functionality of this website.

Workaround:

When you are ready to subscribe, go to Chrome settings and block JavaScript, then subscribe, then enable JavaScript again.

Hello @all,

I have fixed a bug related to the popup rendering when clicking on the "subscribe to this topic" button.
If the issue has still remained, please report on this same thread and I will investigate more.

Thank you.

Yes it works now, though the pop-up only gives the option to get email notifications.

Previously we could choose to subscribe and just get notifications here on the website.

Is that no longer possible?

Hello
There are users who want to receive less email notifications so we added this feature so they can manage the frequency. However, when you subscribe on a forum or a specific topic you should receive notifications on the website as well.

But now this "added feature" does not offer the option to get NO email alerts about forum activity, only an option to make email updates less frequent.

Forcing subscribers to receive email updates will only result in spam filters being created to direct your unwanted emails into the trash.

Certainly I'm not the only person who waits to see update notifications until I actually visit this website?
