Hi, My spouse and I have applied during covid and of course was rejected. We are hoping to go this November and will be applying for the visa again. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Another option is going to the consulate or calling them. I did email the Online agency and they do reply. so try emailing the Online agency, explain to them your situation. they will respond, it may take a few days but they do respond. good luck.

Welcome to the Vietnam forum Thanh.

Your only option right now is the 30 day e-Visa.

Also, please scan the other recent threads about travel to Vietnam at this time.

Good luck with your plans.

Welcome to the Vietnam forum Edmund.

Normally that would be good advice but right now the consulates and embassies of Vietnam around the world are not issuing regular tourist visas or business visas without an official sponsorship letter.

Also the online visa agencies are not allowed to issue Visa on Arrival approval letters at this time, and they cannot issue a business visa unless there is an official approval letter from your sponsoring business.

Cheers!

Apply using the government evisa website. Only thing available at this time. Never too early. Since March 15 thousands of tourist visas have been issued.

Hey Mark,

More than a few people are reporting delays getting their new visa processed in time, so applying today would be the best idea.

Cheers!

Thanh is trying to get a TOURIST visa the only way at the moment is 30 day e-visa as OB stated - @Nhung yes agents/brokers will happily take his money to get him to do a different type of visa than the one he is asking about, the cheap easy way is the e-visa until 30 day tourist visa are back.

not everyone begrudges paying an agent to do the leg work & manage to get you a visa where all else has failed, everyone has to make a living & I for one  am quite happy to pay someone to do the biz for me. Suppose if you are a back packer type or what ever doing Vietnam on a bare minimum budget you got to save the pennies though right enough!

Okay, I’ll ask the questions.

1. Have you previously overstayed when visiting Vietnam or any other legal matters?
2. Did you use the Vietnam government website?

If you previously had problems in Vietnam you might be blacklisted. If you used an agency they might be lying to you to get more money.

The OP was talking about TOURIST visa which there is non of at the moment only e-visa (see posts #3&4) which is done online you dont need an agent to do that, I said there are other ways (i.e. biz visa, investor visa) but will take him down an expensive route to the one he was actually asking about.

Other visa's and ways to stay in Vietnam I agree an agent etc can do things which not everyone knows how to do.
