I have submitted marriage certificate n baby birth certificate at the beginning of visa application 25 march 2022.
Kindly advice me regarding what they mean by legalized documents by Belgian authorities.
As well for other documents any advices.

Thank you in advance,
Taher

Legalized means you have to certify them in the embassy of Belgium.  These documents need to be stamped by the ministry of foreign affairs (your country) and then sent to the embassy .

@tabunama Did you get both your marriage certificate and birth certificate 'apostille'?

Have you received the response from embassy in your home country or IBZ (Belgium)?

I have applied for my children and the file has reached IBZ on 08th April, desperately waiting for the response.

@tabunama Interesting to know that they are accepting hotel reservation in lieu of lease contract. Which one did you send?

Is the Birth certificate and Marriage certificate in English and appostiled in india?
Did you applied VISA together or your husband is already living in belgium before Marriage? (If he is already living here, then his Resident card and registered rental contract should be fine if he is already living in a place where he could accommodate the dependents)
tabunama
@nisafathima939 i only apostilled the police clearance for my wife as requested by TLS contact in South africa.
I submitted certified translation of marriage certificate and birth for the baby.
tabunama
@nandhaselvakumar i am applying from south Africa.
i submitted 3 visas together 24 march 2022:
Husband work visa
wife and baby as family reunification
tabunama

@MJVss i sent hotel reservation back end of march when i firstly submitted the applications but already expired.

tabunama
@Sami Naji thank you for your answer.
How to certify from the embassy. are there any authentic translators by the Belgian embassy.
nandhaselvakumar

@tabunama Then regarding the housing, you can book hotel (reservation to be submitted), and regarding the marriage and birth certificate, they needs to be in English and apostilled as well

tabunama
@nandhaselvakumar where to apostille them, cause both are not from the country i currently live in.
Marriage n birth certificates from Palestine and I live in south Africa.

Every single official document with a stamp + signature must be legalized / apostile.
You must go to the foreigner ministry or at least the embassy of each country your document are coming from + translation in FR/NL/EN

I have a further question then please - sorry to jump onto the back of this thread, but it is related. We are relocating to Belgium on a Family reunification and did not know that we could provide a hotel reservation instead of a lease (this will be more difficult and we don't know where we are going to stay, based on work, etc) ... please can someone confirm that hotel or AIRBNB reservations will suffice for our arrival ?
