Any founders who have availed 30% ruling with an employment contract

Hello,

I know there are many posts on the 30% ruling, however couldn't get to one which is closer to my case. Wanted to check if there any founders on the forum here who have setup a business remotely, done an employment contract and filed for 30% ruling successfully. Would love to know your experience. Happy to have anyone who know anyone with a similar case, pitch in with some inputs :).

Thanks very much

Jay

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The 30% tax rule is a tax agreement between the Belastingdienst and the Employer, the employee is not part of the contract, he/she is the beneficiary, who has been recruited from outside of the Netherlands, and they get however much of the 30% the employer passes on.  So, one problem I foresee in your "plan" is that you have to be an employee on a regular work contract in order to qualify.

My advice is to speak to a Dutch tax advisor and the KvK to see what options you may have available to you.

I hope this helps.
