Food festival: Gourmet Expérience marks a decade

The 25th edition of Gourmet Expérience lands on October 5 at L'Aventure du Sucre, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a culinary extravaganza. With over 15 handpicked food and beverage stands, this family-friendly festival promises a day of indulgence. Expect specially curated spaces for children, a DJ setting the atmosphere, and interactive games offering the chance to win prizes. OKTOBERFEST: Beer, Music, and Charity at Café du Vieux Conseil

On October 12, join the Ladies Circle for Oktoberfest at Café du Vieux Conseil in Port-Louis. The evening's lineup includes beer games, live music, and DJ sets. L'Espri Ravann (Lydia None & Alain Castel), alongside Emlyn, will perform live for a night brimming with musical energy. Désiré François and Cassiya live at the Hennessy Park Hotel

On October 5, iconic performer Désiré François and the renowned group Cassiya return to the stage at the Hennessy Park Hotel, Ébène. This is your chance to hear their greatest hits and hear fresh tracks from François' latest albums. Expect timeless classics like Rèv Nou Ancêtres, Ici Kot Nou Ete, Diego, Le Morne, and Marlène. Tribute to Ti Frer at the French Institute of Mauritius

October 11 will see artists from Mauritius and Reunion Island unite for an extraordinary tribute concert to Ti Frer at the Institut français de Maurice. Leritaz Ritmik Ti Frer will be a unique musical homage to the trailblazer of Mauritian sega. Acclaimed bassist Linley Marthe will be joined by a stellar lineup, including Emlyn, Kurwin Castel, Danyel Waro, and Meddy Gerville. PURE on Île des Deux Cocos featuring DJ Pavel Petrov

Fans of electronic music will not want to miss the PURE night on October 5 at Île des Deux Cocos. Headlining this year is Bulgarian DJ Pavel Petrov, known for his masterful mixes of deep, pulsating beats and vibrant, melodic rhythms.
