D7 Visa - over 5 months processing time

Post new topic

dikshantrajbhandari

Hello everyone,

I applied for D7 with a passive income as a digital nomad, on April 2022, from the Embassy in New Delhi, India. Last week in September I finally got an answer saying "not enough reason for applying for this visa". So I sent them my documents again.

I had all the proof including bank account, apartment, flight, job contracts, etc. I visited the Embassy last week to request them to at least give me my passport so I can travel elsewhere, but was not allowed to enter the Embassy at all.

5 months later, I am here without my passport, with neither an approval nor rejection, just a vague answer with no specific suggestion about what I can improve in my application. Now they are again giving me radio silence, so I have no idea when I will get my passport back.

I heard some similar horror stories already about the embassy in India. Anybody have any insider tips?

Many thanks,

Dikshant
