Finding a place to live is a priority when settling in Hamburg. Your experience will be of a great help for the members who want to settle in Hamburg.

Therefore, we have prepared some questions for you:

Is it hard to find a flat or a house for rent in Hamburg?

How to find a home in Hamburg: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?

How much is the rental for a house, an apartment?

What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation?

Which advice would you give?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Hi Christine, its not easy to find a nice flat or house in Hamburg and also mostly expensive. If you are looking close to the center of town or around to the Alster River you have to pay higher rates than in outlying districts.
You can find some privat ads on sublet.com, abendblatt de, immoscout and some others. You can find maybe some answers of your matter on expat-consult.com.
Befor you sign a contract please have a look to the object and ask for additional costs!
Best regads and good luck, XiscoHamburg
