Approval for marriage

If you are trying to get approval from the court in Morocco to get married to a Moroccan citizen and you have a criminal record. Will the court reject your approval for marriage in Morocco?

Well, it’s usually the embassy who has to give a statement if they are ok with the fact that you’ll marry here as well, and then the judge decides.

And it depends on what’s written in that record. I know a few person who had like 1 record when they got married about a fine they had to pay, not really big things. But I heard if you went to jail already or have many records, the judge can reject the marriage. If you went to jail, it’s better to directly start the marriage procedure included a marriage visa for your country, because it takes lots of time and money as well if you want to do it here. And if they reject the marriage at the end, it would be bad.

But I understand, they shouldn’t put their nose here everywhere. It’s annoying.

He went to prison for almost 6 years, and it was for smuggling. So I am trying to figure out if they will reject the marriage.

Their embassy has no problem with them marrying, and they can get all the documents without issue. The problem is if the Moroccan court will give the approval for the marriage.

I know how you can get a legal married from outside morocco with apostille so moroccan courts accept it even.

You can do it remote and be in different countries.

Only requirement is the English language or a translator
