Hi All,

I'm moving from Chicago to Tulum with my dog.  I am planning to drive as I need a car and refuse to put him in cargo on a plane.  Does anyone have any suggested routs and care to share their experience?  I've heard mixed reviews risk wise.

The usual advice… don’t drive at night. Get through Tamalpais state quickly. Best to cross the US border in the early am and drive on major highways (toll roads).

There are real good resources on Facebook (panamerican travelers), and iOverlander. You’ll be fine
